Permatang Damar Laut, Penang

permatang damar laut is a small fishing village located south of penang island. near the police station here is a hiking trail that skirts the hillside area, fronting the straits of malacca. the trail recently underwent upgrading works, seeing the trail paved with cement. it was also featured in TheStar not long ago.

midway along the trail lies a small beach, which is not so clean, with rubbish strewn around here and there... wait a minute, shouldn't i be describing it's beauty instead? :p

some fungi growing on decaying cconut tree trunks:

at the end of the trail is a small tua pek kong temple, with a small fish pond. proof that i hike till the end of the trail, ha ha...

actually, i was planning to go somewhere for shooting photos of sunrise. but ended up i was busy warming the bed while the sun inches up... oh well, maybe next time..
